ABOUT THIS COURSE
This module provides a brief overview of the Canadian Medical Association, its governance, how priorities are defined, and the many opportunities in which physicians can become involved.
It also discusses why physicians should become advocates at any stage of their career, why they have a significant advantage in the advocacy realm, and how they can become involved to successfully advocate on an issue important to him or her and his or her patients.

- Explain the physician’s role as health advocate.
- Identify opportunities to influence and inform public policy.
