ABOUT THIS COURSE
Physicians play a critical role in the delivery of health care in Nova Scotia. They direct, coordinate, advocate for and deliver health care across the entire spectrum of patient care and population health. As clinicians, business owners and leaders, physicians have a great interest in the ongoing transformation of the health-care system and health-related policies to ensure high-quality, safe and sustainable health services delivery for all Nova Scotians.
As the health system is transforming in the province, it is important that physicians are engaged in decision making. Doctors Nova Scotia, through working with Joule, a division of CMA, identified a need for physician leaders to improve their skills to become more engaged in transforming the health system.
The program will be delivered in six 2-day modules from October 2018 to April 2019 and will comprise course content, self-assessment, and individual and group coaching. The program will culminate with the presentation of group action learning projects.
