DATE: TBD
TYPE: Virtual, instructor-led
DURATION: 2 evenings - 2 hours - 7:00 - 9:00 PM ET

Patients are increasingly turning to social media to share their experiences, search for information or seek advice. Social media offers physicians an opportunity to share accurate information on health topics, educate patients, connect with other health care professionals and advocate for change. It’s challenging to become a trusted voice while managing the potential risks to your professional image, ensuring the privacy of your patients and dealing with social media trolls. This course explores how to effectively use social media, define the goals of your online persona and develop your professional voice in a way that aligns with your goals.

EXPECT TO LEARN HOW TO:

  • seize opportunities to interact, share stories and advocate online;
  • create and foster followers that aren’t just bots;
  • develop your online persona as a reliable source of information while avoiding common pitfalls;
  • set personal and professional boundaries; and
  • manage online harassment.

This course can be tailored and delivered to physicians and/or interdisciplinary teams at your organization, meeting or conference. We’d be happy to work with you to find the right course for you and your organization. Please complete this brief questionnaire, and one of our learning specialists will get back to you to discuss options.
