ABOUT THIS COURSE

Disruptive behaviour is a serious problem that not only profoundly affects workplace health and morale, but can also be challenging to manage and resolve.

This course will help you understand disruptive behaviour and develop the skills to effectively deal with it from an individual and a systems perspective.

EXPECT TO LEARN HOW TO:

  • distinguish between disruptive and non-disruptive behaviour, and identify elements that may influence or cause disruptive behaviour;
  • apply principles of fairness, compassion and accountability to resolve incidents of disruptive behaviour, and prepare for a difficult feedback conversation; and
  • design prevention strategies that promote respectful professional behaviour.

I acknowledge that to help reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19, I am encouraged to practice hand hygiene, physical distancing, pre-screening for risk factors for severe disease, and to wear appropriate face coverings while participating in CMA Impact Inc. (“CMA Impact”) programming.

By checking the box below, I acknowledge and voluntarily agree that:

  1. CMA Impact cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with COVID-19;
  2. There is a risk I could be exposed to COVID-19, and I am willing to accept this risk;
  3.  I cannot (and will not) hold CMA Impact, its officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Releasees”) accountable if I become infected with COVID-19 and/or encounter any problems because of COVID-19 infection. For example, I cannot try to secure compensation from the Releasees either directly or indirectly; and
  4. Within the 48-hour window before the programming is scheduled to start, I will take an online self-assessment test provided by my province or territory, if available, and I will not attend the programming if I believe that I am potentially infected with COVID-19, or that there is a risk that I could spread COVID-19 to others.
